Carrie is the Director of Workforce Development for the AHLA Foundation. Joining the Foundation in 2018, she is responsible for implementing and maintaining lodging industry-wide programming in support of registered apprenticeship, opportunity youth, and other workforce development projects. She works to innovate and develop new initiatives that help to shape the future hospitality workforce, as well as serve as a liaison for AHLA members to advance their career development with the American Hotel & Lodging Education Institute’s suite of professional certifications.
Carrie has an extensive background in sales, operations, and training leadership roles within the hospitality industry from the last 20 years, with experience in full- and limited-service properties as well as the extended stay sector. She graduated from the University of Wisconsin-Superior with dual bachelor’s degrees in mass communications and English, with a minor in Spanish. She resides in Orlando, Florida.
